Sandra Browne singing Aaron Copland Emily Dickinson Settings (1 of 2)

This is my favourite recording of these great songs by Aaron Copland. I bought this LP recording in 1977 when it was released by Enigma Classics. Sandra Browne and her pianist Michael Isador perfectly capture the profound nature of both Copland and the great poetess Emily Dickinson. These songs were written between 1949/50 and rightly form an important part of Enigma's American Collection. Unfortunately these beautiful performances are not available on CD yet so you'll have to put up with my copy of the LP with all it's immediate sound quality and some scratches from the very regular playing this LP has received sine 1977. I've not heard other Sandra Browne recordings, but just by this one she is a great singer and perfect for these songs. This is the first of two parts containing with settings 1 - 6. I hope you enjoy these marvellous performances. And please let me know of other Sandra Browne recordings and if this Copland/Barber collection is to be released onto CD. Thanks.
