In Chinese culture, it is important that the deceased look as natural and lifelike as possible at their funeral, to help their loved ones grief, in remembering a person at their best.

Mortuary make-up artists play a big role here as it contributes to the body’s final presentation.

Ebby Chong, who has been in this industry for 10 years, shares an insight into her job with The Star.
