State Senator Mike Simmons Endorses Ranked Choice Voting

On February 7th, 2021, Illinois' 7th District Democratic Committee met to appoint someone to fill the vacant seat state left by former state Senator Heather Steans in January. Because Steans was a cosponsor of the Ranked Choice Voting bill in the previous session, all candidates were asked if they would also support such a bill. This is Mike Simmons answering the question from 40th Ward Democratic Committeewoman Maggie O'Keefe shortly before he was elected as Senator Steans' replacement.
