Cutting the Excuses is Life-Changing

Hi loves, we all have experience with having excuses. We have excuses for EVERYTHING. During my self reflection journey, I realized that I could make an excuse in a hurry to try to avoid self accountability. The lack of accountability had me STUCK, repeating the same mistakes, gaining weight, postponing my degree... You name it I had an excuse for it at one point or another. Change required discipline, fighting the excuses, and applying action. Excuses are a form of self-sabotage. It keeps us from experiencing the things that we desire. When we make excuses, we're asking ourselves "May I be excused from..." For me, I was asking myself if I could be excused from the life I wanted, the business I wanted, financial literacy, the body I wanted, the degree I wanted, and the relationships I wanted. When I started to view my excuses as such, it changed the game. I'm like DANGG, how will I ever get to my goals and dreams without pushing through these emotions and being accountable for showing up for myself? That’s real SELF-CARE and SELF-LOVE. You have to get to a point where you love yourself enough to do the work, to be consistent, to push through self-limiting doubts, and to SHOW UP! Excuses breed regret because we miss out on our opportunities to grow.
In Luke 14:18-20 Theres a story about a BIG MEAL that was prepared. In summary, Jesus told a story about those who were invited to a meal and a seat at the table. Do y'all know that these men had to go check their fields, go check on their wife, and go and see if the oxen were getting along with one another, so they "couldn't make it" lol. Petty reasons that weren't even urgent. The seats still had to be filled though....Moral of the story was that the excuses had these men missing their moment at the table; they missed the mark. They missed their opportunity, so it was given to other people. It's too many blessings out here and they will be given to those who are willing. That should excite us. It's already prepared, just have to cut the excuses.
