Day 2 | Reopening Of Disneyland Paris Vlog | Walt Disney Studios & Disneyland Park

We decided to take a very impromptu trip to Disneyland Paris shortly after they had reopened following the closure from Covid-19. As you can see from the video, we are a family of four, two adults, a four year old (Lyra) and a one year old (Roxie). This was Roxie's first ever visit to any Disneyland park and we loved seeing how much the trip excited her all the time we were there. Both kids came away having a brilliant time and we feel so lucky to have such a fantastic experience.

Travelling from South East England, we had no other choice than to drive and do the crossing on the EuroTunnel. This turned out to be easy, relaxing and very efficient compared to when we had flown or got the EuroStar in the past.

We stayed at the Hotel Cheyenne which was a 15 minute walk to the park. The hotel itself had only re-opened about 2 days before we arrived and was delightful, clean, quiet and wonderfully themed.

The two main parks had only reopened the week before our visit. Face masks were a must for over 11's for the whole time we were walking around the parks, on rides and meeting characters. In fact, the only time we were allowed to remove masks were if we were eating, or back in our hotel room. We expected the masks to be irritating but we soon got used to them and were impressed to see everyone cooperating.

The trip itself was wonderful and easily one of our most favourite visits to any Disney park. Yes there were limitations due to the situation but we did not feel it negatively affected our holiday. The park was so unbelievably quiet which meant we enjoyed taking our time, meeting the characters and walking on most rides without queuing. We also got the chance to take some lovely photos of our daughters in a deserted Main Street, in front of the castle and other iconic spots around the Parks. The staff at the Parks were brilliant who were obviously doing their best to work with the new situation. There were hand sanitiser stations everywhere and many space markings on the floor to remind people not to stand too close to anyone else. Disney had obviously done a great deal to get the park ready to tackle the ongoing challenges of Covid-19.

We decided to document our trip as best we could and upload it all here to help any future travellers who might be interested in our experience. This video is part two of three which covers a full day spent in both parks. But we would recommend that if anyone is sitting on the fence about whether they should go or not, we hope this video helps make your decision and we don't think you'll be disappointed if you do go.
