How To Make Classic Hummus From Scratch | Best Hummus Recipe | Easy Homemade Hummus

If you have never made Hummus, this homemade Classic Hummus recipe will make you a fan of it. It tastes super delicious, has a silky smooth texture and it’s a great source of protein for vegan and vegetarians !!

INGREDIENTS
*2/3 cup dry Chickpeas/ Garbanzo beans/ काबुली चना
*some Water for soaking and cooking the chickpeas
*3/4 cup Sesame seeds/ तिल
*5-6 Garlic cloves
*3/4 tsp Salt
*1/2 tsp Cumin powder
*1 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice
*3-4 tbsp cold water for the hummus
*2 tbsp extra virgin Olive oil and some more for garnishing
*some Paprika/ Cayenne pepper/ Red chilli powder and chopped Coriander or Parsley for garnishing

INSTRUCTIONS
1- Add the dry chickpeas in a large bowl. Add enough water till they are completely dipped and let them soak overnight.
2- Next day, discard the water and rinse the chickpeas a couple of times. Add the chickpeas in a pressure cooker, followed by 2 cups of water and cook them for around 15-20 minutes till the chickpeas turn soft. Once chickpeas are cooked, discard the water and keep the them aside.
3- Now add sesame seeds on a low-medium heated pan, and roast them for around 2-3 minutes (stir constantly so they don’t burn). Let them cool for sometime and add them into a grinder to make a smooth and creamy paste. And the Tahini is ready.
4- Now in a food processor or blender, add cooked chickpeas, garlic, ground cumin, salt, lemon juice, 2 tbsp olive oil, cold water and tahini. Blend until smooth and creamy.
5- Spread the hummus on a plate. Garnish with paprika, chopped coriander and olive oil. And enjoy!!
