Everyday Adventures Makes A Super Adorable Christmas Tree Craft!
This craft takes some preperation, but you're left with an adorable Christmas keepsake. Below you will find a list of supplies and helpful hints.
Supplies: Pinecone, Green Spray Paint, Wood Slice, Glue Gun and Glue, Elmer's Glue, Two Foam Star Stickers, Miniature Pom Poms
Tips:
-Baking pine cones for about 45 minutes at 250 degrees will help kill any germs or bugs, and after they cool they will open up more.
-If you can hang your pine cone for painting you may only have to do one coat. I painted mine on a drop cloth and had to turn it twice.
-Stick your foam stars to the pine cone before sticking them to each other. They are very sticky and will probably tear if you try to pull them apart.
-You can purchase wood slices, but Matthew cut mine from a poplar tree.
-You'll have to hold the pine cone on the slice while the hot glue dries. They aren't flat on the bottom, so they will tilt if left to dry.
