English 400 Reading Card Programme

English 400 Reading Programme is a project supported by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. It is prepared by experts from the Department of Materials Production, Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages, CIEFL, using a carefully researched vocabulary list.
Box-1 comprises 250 cards that is 50 cards for each level from level 1 to 5. Box-2 comprises 250 cards that is 50 cards for each level from level 6 to 10. All 50 cards of a specific level contain different topics. The first page of reading card has been designed with colour pictures based on the subject of the topic. On the left side of each card, the level of the card and the card number is given. Paragraph number is given separately for each paragraph which helps the learners during self-evaluation of vocabulary and comprehension.
