A very short video from early 1975 when he was home after being injured at work in 1973. My Dad worked at BGE for over 25 years without a single Sick Day taken. Sustained a serious foot injury and their "Medical Staff" sent him back to work with just pain medicine. After months of agony and unable to do his auto repair tasks at work he was sent home on Worker's Comp then for 6 years BGE sent him a paycheck of $0.00 until he passed away on his 60th Birthday in Feb 1979. When sent home exrays reveiled that his foot was Broken on the day of the accident. My Mom received nothing from BGE in the source of his Retirement AND the Worker's Comp Judge ruled that she was NOT eligible for the lousy $45K Death Benefit because we could NOT " prove " his death was a DIRECT RESULT of his injury at work. While my Dad was home trying to get better between 1973-1979, BGE accused him of Faking his pain and recorded him walking in his yard and they even put a Tap on his phone. I remember back in 1958 we had a very severe snow storm and my Dad slept a work for two weeks to keep THEIR trucks running. That's how Big Corps treat their Loyal Employees. F_ _k BGE. PS - Because of his severe lower leg pain he had all his nerves cut just above the ankle two weeks before he passed away. I'm a "Law Abiding Citizen" but I'm NOT done with BGE.
