Why Agile Transformation Fails - Mike Cottmeyer

Why do agile transformations fail so often in large organizations? In the small, agile is pretty straightforward, form teams, build a clear backlog, and have them regularly ship finished product. At scale agile becomes more complicated. What do you form teams around, how do you prioritize a backlog with lots of competing concerns and stakeholders. Agile transformations often fail because the underlying business architecture isn't there to support agility. Agile transformation is fundamentally about creating the kind of organization that can do agile. Anything that gets in the way of doing that will cause your agile transformation to fail.
