Last time we showed you how to clone yourself by using the mask effect in Filmora. As you can see the whole cloning process is quite simple, all you need is a camera and a tripod, or things alternative to that. You may have noticed though that by using the mask effect, the actor will only be able to move within the designated mask area. As long as the actor walks outside of the mask, the clone editing will fail. Today in this video, we are going to show you some awesome advanced cloning technique so that you can further boost your video creativity.
First, let's see how the final video looks like:
As we can see, without being restricted to certain area, the actor was able to walk around freely. And we can even minimize the clone in the video.
Here are the complete steps of how you can make such a clone easily with Wondershare Filmora.
You will need:
1. A camera
2. A tripod
3. A piece of green sheet
4. A background image
5. And Filmora

Step1: SHOOT YOUR VIDEO FOOTAGE
To get started, you will need to shoot 3 video clips.
Find a place with good natural lighting, hang the green sheet like this. Next, set up your tripod and attach your camera to it. We only need to capture the upper body of the actor so that the green sheet will fill the entire screen.
Now, start shooting two video clips, one with the actor walking from left to right and extend the palm forward in the end, and the other one with the actor walking from right to left.
Lower the camera to the bottom of the tripod and then take a full length shot which will be used as third clip.

Step2: UPLOAD THE FOOTAGES TO FILMORA FOR EDITING.
First, drag the background image and drop it to the video track on the timeline. Then drag the first video footage to the PIP layer. Select the clip and click the Green Screen button here to enter the green screen editing panel. Now check “Make parts of the clip transparent” to make the green area transparent.
Likewise, drag the second footage to the second PIP layer and make the green part transparent as well. Cut out unnecessary part if needed.
Now, drag the third video footage to the third PIP layer, enter the green screen editing panel, and make the green area transparent. Since the third clip doesn’t fill the entire screen with green, you will need to enter the Mask panel here. Choose a mask template and then double click to apply to the video. You can adjust the width and height to get better result. Drag the handles here to minimize the clone.
To make sure the clone falls naturally, you may want to cut out extra frames so that it looks like the actor just hopped the palm.
That’s it. I hope you’ve learned how to make clones creatively by using Filmora.
