When I first visited Graceland, I had this album in my Sony discman!...
A promise I made to myself that when I got to Graceland I would sit at Elvis' grave and listen to this song. That's exactly what I did. I was 23 yrs old. I will never forget those early mornings before the shuttle tours started, the gates of Graceland were open, you could walk up the driveway and make your way to the far right side where Elvis and his family lay in the Meditation Garden. No-one around, just me and the sound of HIS voice singing in my ears... as I sat "in the shade of that ol' oak tree"... I sat, overwhelmed, alone in the Meditation Garden, alone with Graceland. Alone, but comforted that I knew he knew I was there... in the Green Green Grass Of Home.
