How to Configure PHP Settings for Your Server and Site in xCloud
PHP is the foundation that WordPress runs on, and keeping it updated is one of the simplest ways to improve your site's performance. The latest versions come with important security patches and noticeable speed improvements, so staying current matters more than most people realize.
xCloud makes PHP management straightforward by putting version control, configuration, and optimization in one place. You can install multiple PHP versions, set a default, toggle OPcache, and fine-tune values like memory limit, max execution time, and file upload size directly from the dashboard. No more editing php.ini files and hoping the syntax is right.
What makes this even more useful is that you can configure PHP differently for each site on your server. A blog that only uploads images has very different needs from a site handling large video files, and xCloud lets you set this up per site. If you're not sure what values to use, the built-in Auto Tune feature calculates optimized settings based on your server's available resources.
In this tutorial, you'll learn how to install and manage PHP versions on your server, configure settings like memory limit, max upload size, and execution time, set up PHP-FPM and OPcache configurations, use Auto Tune to optimize settings automatically, and manage PHP configurations for individual sites.
