Peter Maxwell Davies: "The Martyrdom of St. Magnus" (July, 1977)

Here is a performance broadcast by the BBC of Davies' chamber opera that took place at The Roundhouse in London, a month after it's premiere at St. Magnus Cathedral in Orkney 18 June 1977. The soloists are Mary Thomas, Neil Mackie, Brian Rayner Cook, Michael Rippon and Ian Comboy, with The Fires of London under the direction of the composer.
