Madeira's Story

This is Madeira, a street pigeon (Columba livia domestica) that I rescued as chick. I found her on 5th April 2015 and raised her; as a result she got really tame, so tame that she started to annoy the neighbours. Luckily she found a new home in a pigeonry where she can fly and play with many other pigeons. She is still very tame now, but not as tame as she was back then - she now prefers her pigeon friends over humans, just like it should be.
