Our Off-Grid Cabin Experience | Would We Buy in a National Forest Again?

It has almost been 8 months since we were last at our off grid cabin. Between Dan being in school, homesteading, winter, quarantine, pandemic, etc... it all added up. But we're back. And this video today is loaded. We'll start off with hike over to Blueberry Hill, where we discovered a bunch more damage from the local beaver population. And then headed down into the Magic Forest - a very old growth cluster of White Pine, Red Pine, and Hemlock trees. On the way back to the cabin, Dan found a little white tail fawn hidden in the brush.

What also share what's it's like to own 10 acres of forest, in the middle of a National Forest. And the sense of responsibility we feel, to properly manage that much land. It's definitely a challenge, Especially when invasive plants and insects make their way onto our land. Would we take the plunge and buy something like this again in future - remote and off grid? Of course. Not a question in our minds. It's an amazing place, that we look forward to exploring and managing for the next 20 years. Maybe even try to live there full time for a few summers, once we retire.

We'll round out the day, with some nice steak grilled over the fire. Along with some toasty garlic bread! Hope you enjoyed our trip to the cabin, as much as we did. We'll be getting up there a lot more this year, and we'll be taking you guys along for the ride.
