10 Percent True: #3 Part 1 - Origins of the USAF Aggressors

The US Air Force's Aggressor squadrons came to being in the mid-1970s and were part of wider push by the Nellis Mafia to improve the performance and capabilities of the Tactical Air Forces.

In this short 10 Percent True film, I've tried to paint the picture of why the Aggressor programme was needed at all, and what motivated a select group of fighter pilots (Richard "Moody" Suter, Randy O'Neill, Roger G. Wells and Lloyd "Boots" Boothby) to get is started.

In the second part of this short documentary, I'll look at the development, training and culture of the early Aggressor pilots.

Many thanks to Jose Oberle, Mike Press, and David LeBlanc for their help.
