VERY LOW PRESIDENTIAL HELICOPTERS! | RAF Northolt

One of the most incredible videos I think I’ve ever filmed!
A mixed formation of 6 helicopters as part of the ‘NIGHTHAWK’ formation, which had just dropped President Biden off at Heathrow, Airport returned to RAF Northolt.

The formation was lead by a North Weald based EC145 NPAS (National Police Air Service) helicopter and followed by two USMC VH-3D Sea Kings (known as Marine One when the President is on board), two RAF Puma HC2s and an AS365 Dauphin of the SAS.

All in all, a very rare formation, the likes of which will never be seen again with the imminent retirement of both the RAF Pumas and the USMC Sea Kings.

As the Sea Kings came in on the approach, the first Puma pretty much came to a hover right on top of us, sending one of my mate’s crutches flying one way and my other mate’s tripod flying the other! I too had to turn around and catch my own tripod which was bound for the ground! It was an absolutely incredible experience and one l’ll never forget! God bless America!
