Sparrows Can’t Sing Q&A with Barbara Windsor | BFI

Joan Littlewood was a renowned 1960s theatre director but made only one feature film, Sparrows Can’t Sing (1962). Actors Barbara Windsor and Murray Melvin recall auditioning for and working with Littlewood, while the former explains how East End gangsters Ronnie and Reggie Kray were involved in the film’s London premiere.

Q&A chaired by BFI Fiction Curator Jo Botting.
