The Last Oasis pre-alpha was one of the most surprisingly enjoyable experiences I've had in gaming. All the mechanics are solid, and everything worked as it was intended (surprising these days). The nomadic themes are harnessed very appropriately, and you are constantly traveling around the map, rather than sitting at a home base for hours.
