How to Cook Prego! Portuguese Steak Sandwich (BOLO DO CACO)

step by step

Ingredients
- Bread Roll
- Sirloin or Rump Steak
- 2-3 Garlic Cloves
- 2 Bay leafs
- Sea Salt
- 1 TBSP Butter
- 1 - TBSP Olive Oil

Method
1. To Start as preparation finely chop your garlic. 2-3 Cloves.( Remove the garlic skin)
2. Get your Steak and sprinkle half of the garlic evenly on one side of the steak.
3. Then get your bay leaf and break it into small bits.
4. Season well with sea salt and then start hammering with a tenderiser.
5. do the same on both sides !
6. Get a griddle or frying pan and get up to a medium high heat.
7. carefully place your steak into the pan laying it away from you.
8. cook for 30 seconds and add 1 TBSP of butter and cook for another 30second to minute
9. Turn the steak around and cook for the same amount of time.
10. Constantly baste the steak with the butter to enhance the flavour.
11. once cooked remove the steak on to a plate and let rest for 2-3 minutes.
12. Meanwhile add your bread cut side down into the frying pan to toast slightly then add some butter, place the steak, cut in half and enjoy !
