Tom T. Hall - Old Dogs, Children and Watermelon Wine

Known to his fans as 'The Storyteller,' due to his song writing ability, Tom. T Hall has written eleven number one hit songs and many more which reached the top ten position in the charts.

'Old Dogs, Children and Watermelon Wine' was released in 1972, from his album 'The StoryTeller' and it charted at number one on the US Billboard Hot Country Singles chart.

The song tells of Hall's experience at the 1972 Democratic National Convention, where he spoke to an old porter there. Old dogs, children and watermelon wine were the three things of significance in the humble porter's life.

This performance was recorded live at Church Street Station in Orlando, Florida.
