Hey beautiful people, I’ve been on this natural hair journey for over 10 years and made every mistake under the sun when it comes to my hair so that you don’t have have to.

If you’ve clicked on this video then you are completely over how tangled your hair is.

You aren’t seeing any length retention because of it.

You want to grow thicker healthier stronger hair

Afro hair is one of the most fragile hair types and without proper care it will certainly not “grow” and I always say “grow” in quotation marks because your hair is ALWAYS growing, if you aren’t seeing any results then its because it is simply breaking off.

The things we need to unlearn/get rid of
1.The need to comb your hair every single day.
2.The need to have a brush glide through it seamlessly every time
3.The need to only spend 5 minutes washing it in the shower

These things are only applicable to straight hair and if you want to take your hair growth seriously then you need to understand that

🌟How to tackle tangles
1. Finger detangle. Always do this first before any combs if you are going to use them. Do so only when your hair is wet, soaked in a super slippery detangling conditioner in sections. My absolute favourite is the Tangle Slayer from Ominira.
2. Keep your hair stretched - contrary to popular belief allowing your hair to shrink up into its natural state can be very damaging because it creates alot of unnecessary tangles that cause breakage. Wash and gos, high puffs etc. Opt for braid outs and blow outs or even better protective styles.
(These styles aren’t without fault though and can cause breakage without proper maintenance.)
3. If your detangling routine takes longer than usual then it is a sign you’re due for a trim!
