Royal expert tells Meghan Markle ‘be quiet’ ahead of Prince Philip's funeral

A royal expert says Meghan Markle “should be quiet” following reports the Duchess of Sussex isn’t attending Prince Philip’s funeral because she doesn’t want to the “centre of attention.”

It comes after the Mail Online reported a friend of Meghan’s said the Duchess isn’t attending the funeral to avoid stealing the limelight from Philip.

Angela Levin slammed Ms Markle over the reports-

“I think it's astonishing that somebody who has been a member of the Royal Family for a very short time has the audacity to think she is going to be the centre of attention at a funeral of the most extraordinary man of 99 who was the husband of the queen for over 70 years”, she told the Sun.

"You come and you're very quiet, you sit in the back and wear black as you are told.”

“If you don't want to be centre of attention then be quiet."

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson confirmed Meghan isn’t attending the funeral because she is heavily pregnant however the Duchess is yet to confirm.
