LANZAROTE | Puerto del Carmen | Afternoon walk with Calima.. 28 December 2020

CALIMA is a sand cloud that *normally* occurs beginning or end of the year. The wind changes direction and bring sand particles over to the canaries from the sahara. The sky looks foggy but it's actually sand. The cloud above the cloud can look very white as the sand particles burn. Temperatures can increase and usually lasts a few days. Good thing whilst being a hot and sunny location, you don't feel too hot because the breeze cools you down specially now that we are in winter months, not of summer coz sleeping is indeed a challenge when we get Calima..

So far, here's what the people doin even we have a Calima on the Island. Still Enjoyin the sun and having fun.. 😊
