Tanzania Big Game Hunt during Lockdown - Conservation Hunting at its best

Hunting in Africa is an essential part of conservation through sustainable utilization. Without legal, ethical hunts like this, these wild areas will be overrun by cattle and villages. In the process all wildlife will be poached out.

Even through Covid restrictions we all found a way to make it to Tanzania for Greg's annual hunt. This year we are joining up with Greg in the Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania. Our host is Game Trackers Africa. We stayed in their Utunge main camp but most of our big game hunting was done from a fly-camp three hours away. This was the most luxurious and well set up fly-camp I've ever been in!

Gregery harvested a beautiful old male lion, two dagga-boy bulls and a bunch of plains game. The leopard eluded us again, but Greg will be back in 2021.
