In 2003 I moved into a cabin on the edge of John Forrest National Park in the Perth Hills, Western Australia. I woke to the sound of Kookaburras laughing in the trees above me and went to sleep with the sounds of Kangaroo's scratching in the dirt outside my bedroom window. At the time I was working at the West Australian newspaper where a work mate gave me the nickname 'Forest Dweller' - it stuck. The images in this short film are a record of some of the amazing things in nature I've been privileged to witness during the seven years that I lived there. All birds and other creatures in this film are photographed in their natural habitat, i.e. completely wild.
