Basic Facial Tutorial

Thank you for watching my tutorial. I just learned this from my basic spa class at the Northwest Shoals Salon and Spa Program.
The procedure was taught from the 2016 Milady Standard Cosmetology book.

Supplies needed/used:
- First Aid Kit
- Hand Sanitizer
- Barbicide wipes (according to state board)
- Facial Cleanser
- Toner
- Massage cream
- Moisturizer
- Exfoliator
- Exfoliating gloves
- Mask cream
- Fan brush
- Soufflé cups if a bottle without a pump is being used. (Sanitation reasons: with a pump you can use wrist to get products out)
- Vaporizer /essential oils
- Spray bottle
- Cotton swabs and cotton balls
- Cotton rounds
- Four by four squares for removing product
- Wooden Spatula
- White Headband
- Small trash can
- Metal bowl to dip four by fours into when removing product
- About 6 towels (one for steam towel, one to wipe off product from hands, one to drape over clients shoulders and another for her head. Because I was using my kitchen table, I placed one vertical on the left and the other horizontal on right on top of a white sheet. My mom laid her head on horizontal towel, my supplies were on the left vertical towel
***If I was using a spa bed, I would wipe it down with barbicide, put a white fitted sheet over it and tie it down at end so it’s on good. Then you would have the client tucked in under a quilt. Then drape her as I demonstrated. **
