China and India are two incredibly large and powerful countries which have been caught in a dangerous border dispute in the Himalayas for decades. Regular violent confrontations between Chinese and Indian border guards are making the news every so often, and remind us of the possibility of conflict or war even between China and India. Although almost the entirety of the border is disputed, the situation is kept relatively calm by the Line of Actual Control and several bilateral agreements on border management. Nonetheless, it remains a serious danger to world peace.
