Tutorial. GrassHopper Part 5. Let's Make It Sparkle!
This tutorial addresses the problems colourists have with picking colours and planning their work. Using this multi part tutorial we will colour the grasshopper picture in Hanna Karlzon's colouring book 'Sommarnatt' ('Summer Nights' in English).
EDIT:
This part 5 of a multi part series. If you haven't seen part one yet I suggest you pop over and have a look at it here:
https://youtu.be/JZEulD3Ieig
In this fifth and final part we will colour in the grasshopper himself using the original chosen greens plus a few new colours to make him stand out. We will also be finishing the flowers and background and adding highlights using a Signo Uniball white gel pen.
Items used:
Book: Sommarnatt (Summer Nights) by Hanna Karlzon
Pencils: Faber Castell Polychromos
Gel pen: White Signo Uniball.
Plain paper (A cheap sketch book is best but any old paper will do.)
In the next part of this tutorial we'll be colouring the grasshopper.
For Part 2: Colour pencil alternatives for the discontinued FC light violet: Derwent Artist or Studio Blue Violet lake (27), Luminance pencil Ultramarine Violet No 630, Lyra Rembrandt's light violet are all good substitutes. I apologise for this problem. I don't understand why FC would cancel a colour that has no compatible alternative.
