Attempting to "fix" my Land Cruiser LX470's AHC suspension system.

Like all LX470s, mine came from the factory with Toyota's AHC hydraulic suspension system. Many 100 series Land Cruiser aficionados say to remove the system and put in place a simpler shock and spring system, whether it be stock parts from a Land Cruiser that was not optioned with the AHC system, or aftermarket springs and shocks that provide a lift, or higher resting position for the suspension. My LX470 was not going into high mode, but was able to move from low to neutral without issue. Upon inspection it was discovered that the AHC fluid was low, and I decided to attempt to add fluid to see if the system will then allow it to go into high mode.
