What is the difference between a rotary and a da sander?

This is part 2 of the sanding series from Evan of Evan's detailing and polishing. This video breaks down the differences between rotary sanding and da sanding. The differences are huge and very significant but the outcome can end up very similar. There isn't really a right or wrong way to sand. It is mostly personal preference on the user. In our shop we mix the two different styles and end up with something completely different.
