Replacing an old defective Outlet

In. this video we are replacing an old outlet, which is not able to hold the. plugs anymore. The springs, which are supposed to hold the plugs securely in the outlet are work out and do not work anymore.
The new outlet has to be selected by the type of circuit it is used in. In our case this is a 15 Amp circuit. The type of circuit is indicated on the breaker, which you can read when turning off the circuit.
When removing the old outlet it was discovered that there was no ground wire directly connected to the outlet. Instead the outlet was simply grounded via the metal box, in which it was mounted into.
For the new outlet we add a new ground wire to ensure a proper ground connection.
