Such is the power of Sahara-shri Subrata Roy's personality, that when he entered my set it was as if a spiritual leader had arrived! The entire crew left their work to touch his feet!
It had never happened before!
I had never met Subrata Roy, but the
journey of a man who rose from the roots to become a mega-tycoon piqued my interest. I was keen to hear his story.
When I visited Lucknow after the show, it was mind-blowing to see the Sahara township
Subrata Roy has created (I can't even describe it in a few words!) And yet -- at home -- they were a simple, traditional family, where the bahus serve dinner and religion remains a focal point of their lives.
