This is a beautiful neo-soul classic by Angie Stone, who cleverly uses a sample from Gladys Knight and the Pips' original "Neither One Of Us (wants To Be The First To Say Goodbye)" to underpin the track of this newer tune. The sound is luscious and warm and the Fender Rhodes motif carries the track with no effort at all.
Ms Stone remains one of the few artists today who continue carrying the torch for genuine soul music.
