My cover (snippet) of Duncan Laurence’s Arcade (lyric video) winning song of Eurovision 2019

As I am filming my reaction videos to Eurovision 2020 just in time to then start reacting to Eurovision 2021, I want to share something very personal with all of you. I was able to spend some time recording a few songs in an empty house before it was sold. The acoustics were amazing. I first want to say that I used absolutely no recording software or vocal enhancements in these recordings because I wanted the songs I sang to be raw and honest. I know there’s a sharp note in one of the “ohs.” I’ve never been more nervous in my entire life than I am to share this recording with my Eurovision friends and family around the world. There were more recordings I made during my “Empty House Sessions,” but this one was absolutely unplanned. You can even hear the rain pouring down outside if you listen closely enough. I’m about to post a portion of my recording of @DuncanLaurence ‘s winning song Arcade. Again, there is no editing or instruments to hide my insecurities...it’s a capella. I was so moved by this song that I decided to just record it in one take. It’s not perfect, but neither am I. I’m so nervous to share this with all of you, but I hope you can feel the connection I have with the song and appreciate that I didn’t rely on any special effects to do this. It’s just me being completely vulnerable for all of you.
