As you know, Bailey and my mom surprised me by flying Brooks out to visit me a few days earlier than he had originally planned. His schedule is a little more flexible than mine, because all of his classes at BYU this semester are virtual, so he ended up being here for almost two weeks. This video will answer some of the most-asked questions about us...

I have been waiting for over 3 years for someone like Brooks! I see Bailey and Asa, and how good they are together, and I wanted that. During that time, I could tell fairly quickly that the intentions or goals of other guys I had tried dating were not aligned or just didn't feel right. With Brooks, our relationship felt super natural from the very first minute and not forced at all. I kept finding ways to spend more time together, something I had not really felt in years. Brooks and I also take school and our careers seriously, and share a lot of common beliefs and goals. Family is super important to us as well.

For the first time in a long while I am happy. Not that I wasn't happy with myself, I am... just that I FINALLY found that one special friend that cares for me in a way that is meaningful to me and has my interests at heart as I do his. Our relationship is young, and I know that, but I kinda feel like I have known him for years. Enduring tragedy has as way of doing that, as we did through the Mikesell's plane wreck and hospital stays. I really appreciate him for jumping into action, to serve and help everyone in any way he could even after I was gone. He didn't live close by, and he had other things to do. Nothing else mattered. Selflessness is something we just don't see much of anymore, and seeing that in him endeared me to him that much more!
