My selfish tendencies took me hostage that day
Led me to believe that Ive got enough will power to align our stars
Im sorry for ghost writing my intentions behind my insecurities
I think the worst part about it all was that
I couldve written you a million poems
But nothing I couldve ever wrote wouldve resonated with you
So I wrote you a million poems
Crafted every piece to reflect my feelings
None of which was your responsibility.
All of which was my mistake
So I remember you not for what you said
But for what you didnt
And although I wish I could rewind time and redo our experience
I know it was probably meant for the same result.
