The Proto Slinger is a now in it's second season, and is a mix between the older Funslinger and Proto Type Two.

It has a mid flex that is a little softer than the Proto, and stiffer than the Funslinger, so it is (at least to me) a much more usable board outside of the park.

Although the older boards weren't lacking in edge hold at all, the new profile makes it a notch better.
