Tesla Vandal Caught on Sentry Mode

Update 11/14/21: The perpetrator was arrested and spent 1 day in jail. He retained an attorney and pled not guilty to Felony Vandalism.

After multiple extensions he pled down to Misdemeanor Vandalism. He’s been sentenced to time served with 12 months probation. He’s been ordered by the court to pay $200 per month until restitution has been made. Total damage is around $3000.
Update: Just spoke with the Sheriff’s office and they confirmed the suspect was arrested Saturday night for felony vandalism.

The following is the video of the guy who keyed my new Tesla Model 3, guess he didn’t realize Tesla’s record. I have filed a report with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s office.

In the video you can see where he merged into my lane from his turn only lane at Armargosa and Bear Valley Road because he wanted to go straight. I didn’t react and let him merge over without issue.

He then followed me to Walmart and laid in wait till we exited the vehicle.

He approached car with his key out but quickly aborted his mission when a random guy approaches from the front of the car and might see him. He then doubled back took another go and keyed the car.
