Spring hike with INHF

Take a walk with us through the former 4-H camp in Boone County. Keep an eye out for early spring ephemerals and blooms as well as wildlife and important forest habitat. INHF and its partners have been getting more familiar with the flora and fauna of this natural resource-rich spot along the Des Moines River. Time spent on the land and in conversation is helping to inform decision about ho the site will develop into the future.
Even during times when going out in more difficult, nature can bring peace, whether outdoors or through a screen. Take time to look, listen and enjoy all that nature has to offer.
