Sunday morning, the last day of Hamvention 2019 as the Elecraft Booth opened up I was able to corner Eric Swartz WA6HHQ for a few minutes and spent a few minutes with him asking some ad-hoc questions about the new K4 and it's capabilities. I think Elecraft fans will find this interview interesting, especially the question about full-duplex support. It sounds like Eric and Wayne have their eye on future support for full duplex / SO2R in a box, but I'll let you be the judge of the answer Eric came back with. It appears the glass is half full on anticipated full duplex support at some time in the future for the K3.

Other info in the discussion includes pricing and timing of availability along with the 3 different versions of the K3 and a ball park on the price for the HD version with the include superhet module that likely will have some amazing dynamic range blocking numbers for nearby signals, including situations in a multi-multi environments or contest conditions.

Eric also touches on the ability to reserve a K3 at different rounds of release time at different pricing. In all cases it appears that deposits will all be refundable if you change your mind before shipment.

Later in the video Eric gives a whirlwind feature overview of how the K4 was designed around remote operation, with the ability of direct control via TCP/IP/UDP with the integrated Ethernet connectivity.
