On the case, D-11-453527-C Claudia Montes, Plaintiff vs. Marvin E. Carrera, Defendant; Senior Judge Kathy Hardcastle who temporally took over former Judge Cynthia Dianne Steels cases would not allow Court Observers and the party’s significant other to appear in the courtroom.

Judge Hardcastle told her courtroom Marshal R. Torres not to let anyone in the courtroom except for the litigants. The case is not sealed and there was no motion to have a closed hearing. Judge Hardcastle arbitrarily took the law into her own hands and denied the public access to an open courtroom. Both parties wanted their invited guest to be in the courtroom. The Veterans In Politics immediately ordered the video and we were told that the case is not sealed and the judge violated the law by denying the public access.
