The monument of Bom Jesus das Mós is one of the references of religious tourism in the municipality of Terras de Bouro.
Strategically situated on the top of Carvalheira, or Monte das Mós, from which you have a splendid view of the open countryside, reaching all the surrounding villages, a stunning paradise of greens and browns, willows and oaks that line the entire hillside. .
Situated southwest of Campo do Gerês, on the right bank of the Ribeira da Roda, tributary of the Homem river.

The construction of this monument, which invokes the Sacred Heart of Jesus, began in 1902 and was completed in 1912.

In the Alto das Mós stands the chapel dedicated to the Heart of Mary.

Pope Pius X's Apostolic Blessing, given on July 13, 1913, to the thousands of pilgrims from Bom Jesus das Mós, marked a relevant moment in the people's life of faith, choosing this place as a sovereign monument of the region.
