Martin Marty: 500 Years for the Protestant Reformation

A mere five hundred years ago Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to a church door in Wittenburg, Germany, the first step of his excommunication, the wholesale transformation of the then Roman Catholic Church, and an entirely new political, social, and cultural era for Europe. The University of Chicago Divinity School's Martin Marty, a foremost expert on Lutheranism, returns to CHF for a wide-ranging conversation on the implications of the Protestant Reformation for contemporary religious practice and thought.

This program is presented as part of the annual Karla Scherer Endowed Lecture Series for the University of Chicago.
