HIJO PRODIGO - Award Winning Short Film

This is my thesis film from my BFA on Acting. A coming out story based on true events, about a struggling closeted gay teenager who returns home during school vacations and tries to find an opportunity to come out to his conservative Latino family.

I want to be clear that every experience is different, this didn't happen to me but to someone who is deeply close to me, and being latinos, I wanted to find a way through my art to help families realize how their reaction can affect their kids, and for the ones who go through this, show them that even if is difficult, things will get better, so be brave to live as who you are. I hope this video helps those who can relate to it on their journey.
