Questions over China’s ‘late’ accusations of Australia spying
Lowy Institute Senior Fellow Richard McGregor says China’s “late” accusations of Australia’s military spying, raises “questions of doubt”.
Mr McGregor’s comments come as China accused Australia of trying to spy on naval exercises following a confrontation with ADF forces last week.
“The helicopter in question was in international waters on a UN exercise,” Mr McGregor told Sky News Australia.
“The Chinese have made this accusation, but they also made it quite late.
“That raises questions of doubt as well.”
