Mars Helicopter First Flight Delayed Due To Technical Issues

Ingenuity's first flight that was to occur on April 11 has been rescheduled to no earlier than April 14.

This is after NASA received Ingenuity's data of the high-speed spin test of the rotors on late Friday night.
The data showed the command sequence controlling the test ended early as “watchdog” timer expired.

The watchdog timer supervises the command sequence and give alerts on any potential problems.The problem occurred as the flight computer was trying to transition from ‘Pre-Flight’ to ‘Flight’ mode.

NASA is currently diagnosing the issue. They will later reschedule and re-run the full-speed test before the test flight.
