The Maze Runner is a 2014 American dystopian science fiction action thriller film directed by Wes Ball, based on James Dashner's 2009 novel of the same name.The film begins with a young boy, Thomas, taken in by Ava Paige and troops from the organization WCKD, alongside other abandoned children, after being dropped off by his mother for his own safety. Years later, shortly after being rescued from the maze, Thomas and the remaining Gladers – Teresa Agnes, Newt, Minho, Frypan and Winston – are taken to a facility run by Mr. Janson. They realised Janson is with WCKD and escape, they´ll do anything to take down WCKD
