Using Interactive PDFs for Online Teaching, EdTech Tools and Examples

In this video we will learn about the use of interactive PDFs in online teaching. These are powerful tool for student engagement and as an online teacher, one of the best resources which we can have for our students. I will show what are some of the features which convert a simple PDF into an interactive PDF. First you must understand the importance of PDF files. These files provide a consistent experience across various devices and various operating system and look beautiful. Interactive PDFs are much superior than simple non-interactive PDFs because they solve the largest problem in online teaching. The biggest challenge in online teaching is student engagement. This is the reason why Instructor Led Training (ILT) is still the most widely used model and Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) is not very popular amongst the students. By using interactive PDFs, you can make students interact and they will engage with your content and explore your educational resources.
The features that make a PDF interactive include, clicking a link, a checkbox, a radio button, watching a video, listening to a recorded sound from within a pdf, scanning QR code or using a system of PDF files to eliminate the use of internet.
I will show you three examples of interactive PDFs and the third example is particularly of interest for math teachers and because most of my subscribers are teaching math online, they must watch this video till the end because I am confident this is an important video for you and they will get a lot of value. The first example is a fillable PDF, then a training guide with QR code and finally an interactive quiz.
